Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my psychedelic and progressive music records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare 1st German pressing of Black Sabbath – Paranoid on the SWIRL VERTIGO label, cat. no. 6360 011. This first German pressing has the Jim Simpson, Big Bear credit on the inside of the gatefold.
The record is in VG+++ condition, there are a few non-sounding hairlines and a few visible, but non sounding scuffs marks. The labels are in EX condition, there are a few spindle marks only.
The cover is in VG+++ condition, there are some tiny creases along the outer seams on both front and back, there is a small crease in the upper right corner on the back and the spine has two very tiny bald spots and there is a tiny piece of lamination missing on the spine. Besides mentioned minor imperfections, there is nothing wrong with this cover; no writing, no rips or tears or other unwanted damage.
This is a very rare German first pressing of Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album with the Jim Simpson, Big Bear credit on the inside of the gatefold. Copies like these (and certainly in this condition) are becoming very scarce these days. Most copies of this album were severely overplayed, but not this one! Besides a few inaudible marks, this records absolutely looks and plays fabulous. So, if you are a big fan of Black Sabbath, a Swirl Vertigo collector or a prog music fan, this is a real nice, affordable copy!
