THIS IS the fifth and perhaps mots adventurous Black Sabbath studio album. The material is far more diverse than their earlier bludgeon, easing off the heaviousity gass pedal a tad in favour of more texture and more variety. But that's not to say that they wimped out. Tracks such as 'Killing Yourself To Live', 'A National Acrobat', 'Sabra Cadabra' and the title track all pay a healthy disrespect for restraint and subtlety. A truly great album and perhaps the only Sabbath album still constantly revealing itself after all these years.

This copy is the first issue silver WWA label logo which was quickly superceeded by the second issue on the NEMS label. These are relatively tough to find and even harder in such nice condition. See below.

Pressing: WWA, UK, 1973

Vinyl: Lovely clean and shiny condition. Nice glossy surface with no scuffs, no spindle marks on label and no other signs of use. Can only have been played a handful of times. Grades as a MINT-!

Cover: Again, virtually no signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gatefold cover - no wear. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Rear white panel is in tip-top shape - usually found heavily soiled. Grades as shop fresh MINT-!
