The Black Sabbath Paranoid Rhino High Fidelity Numbered Edition, released in 2025, is a premium vinyl reissue of the band’s iconic 1970 sophomore album. Limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies, it features:
• Audio Quality: AAA cut from the original stereo master tapes by Kevin Gray at
Cohearent Audio, pressed on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl at Optimal Media. The mastering delivers a loud, crisp, and immersive sound with exceptional depth, dynamics, and clarity, particularly for tracks like “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” and “Paranoid.” Some copies have reported minor non-fill noise, but replacements from Rhino have resolved issues for affected buyers.
• Packaging: Housed in a heavyweight glossy gatefold “tip-on” jacket, evoking classic vinyl aesthetics. Includes a four-page insert with historical artifacts, photos, and new liner notes featuring commentary by engineer Tom Allom, interviewed by Hugh Gilmour.
