Description
Up for auction is a very nice original pressing of the self-titled debut album Black Sabbath, originally released in the U.S. on Warner Bros. (BS 1871) in 1970:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT reissue
-Original olive green WB labels
-Artisan mastering symbol in deadwax -Original paste-down cover
-Original WB inner sleeve -Vinyl comes in poly audiophile protective inner sleeve
Note: Original pressings have the Artisan mastering symbol in the deadwax--these pressings are considered among collectors to have superior audio quality.
Condition: Cover is generally very clean and attractive. No significant ring wear, just some light rubbing wear top middle. No seam splits, but has some light crazing along spine (see photo). Titles are legible on spine. Some light rubbing on one corner (see photo). A very attractive and colorful original. Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies
Vinyl is also very nice, still retains its original shine. Under a strong light, a few light paper scuffs and faint superficial hairlines show up, probably from taking vinyl out of paper inner sleeve a few times, but nothing deep or serious--nothing that should cause any problems with the sound quality, which is overall excellent. Labels are clean, spindle holes look unworn. This record looks like it's been played only a few times but handled with care. Grade: Excellent (EX)

How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
