Description
Up for auction is an original pressing of the debut self-titled Black Sabbath album, originally released in the U.S. on Warner Bros. (WS 1871) in 1970:
-Guaranteed original First pressing -Original olive green WB labels
-Artisan mastering symbol in deadwax -Original paste-down cover
-Original and date correct WB inner sleeve
-Vinyl comes in poly audiophile protective inner sleeve
Note: Original pressings have the Artisan mastering symbol in the deadwax--these pressings are considered among collectors to have superior audio quality.
Condition: Cover is generally clean and attractive. No significant ring wear, just some very light rub top middle. Corners are nice, sharp. Spine is nice, titles clear and clean, a little crazing at bottom (see photo). Still a very attractive original. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG++)
Vinyl is also nice, still retains much of its original shine. Under a strong light, shows some light hairlines and tiny superficial marks here and there, but nothing deep or serious--nothing that should cause any problems with the sound quality, which is overall very good. Labels are clean, unmarked, no spindle wear. This record looks like it's been played a few of times, but handled with care. A very good listening copy.

How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
