BLACK SABBATH

VO6 847 903 VTY - VERTIGO

1973 UK LAST PRESS ON VERTIGO!!!

FULLY PLAY-GRADED! LOVELY AUDIO THROUGHOUT, PLAYS RIGHT THROUGH WITH ONLY MINOR POPS/CLICKS ON MY VERY DECENT TECHNICS SYSTEM, A BETTER SYSTEM SHOULD MAKE THE ROOM SHAKE WHEN YOU CRANK THIS ONE UP, NO STICKS, OR JUMPS, WHATSOEVER.

VERY RARE LAST ISSUE ON VERTIGO - PREVIOUSLY ISSUED 3 TIMES ON VERTIGO SWIRL, THEN A VERY, VERY SHORT RUN ON VERTIGO SPACESHIP THAT WAS VERY SHORTLIVED DUE TO BLACK SABBATH SIGNING WITH WWA (WHO ALSO ACQUIRED THE PRODUCTION RIGHTS TO REISSUE THE BACK CATALOGUE ON WWA) - POSSIBLY AS RARE AS THE VERY 1ST ISSUE VERTIGO SWIRL - I KID YOU NOT!

1Y2/2Y2 MATRIX

SLEEVE CONDITION:

Non laminated gatefold sleeve. Wonderful copy with only minor scuffing/ageing to some of the edges, no graffiti/writing of any kind. People used to hawk these things round parties etc, where they would sometimes get mislaid (nicked to you and me!) so you find loads of copies with owner's names in them and also played literally TO DEATH, NOT his one, I let other people do that at the parties I went to! Spine has minor scuff to the very bottom, but is not split, all Titles fully legible.

Inner gatefold is the classic black with silver print, complete with the inverted cross and text and mis-spelt 'Ossie' - contrary to popular belief, these points are common to the first 5 issues of this classic album (even the WWA reissue!!!), so don't be misled by other similar items claims!

SLEEVE SUMMARY: EX

LABEL CONDITION:

Superb and unmarked but for 1 or 2 light spindle traces. No graffiti. Fabulous hardly played condition.

LABEL SUMMARY: EX+

INNER SLEEVE/INSERT CONDITION:

plain white paper.

VINYL CONDITION:

There is no substitute for an audio grading. Merely looking at vinyl can only give you a suggestion as to its playback quality. Visual gradings are not to be relied upon, as I know from personal experience having bought 'mint' vinyl from people (visually graded as 'mint'), only to get EX audio (or even worse!) when playing the vinyl. I therefore insist on playing everything I list (unless specifically stated in my listing). You can therefore be assured that the vinyl will sound every bit as good as I have described - please refer to my 100% feedback comments for the excellent feedback I receive.

SIDE 1 MATRIX:

Awesome vinyl! Barely marked, rarely played and well looked after! I generally taped all my vinyl to protect it and also so I could play my music anywhere. Superb audio throughout with fabulous tone and clarity. Some very light background crackle on quietest parts, hardly anything in the audio to fault, other than a few light 'crackley' scuffs just audible sometimes, certainly nothing that a good quality clean wouldn't eliminate. That may well be my next purchase, a professional vinyl cleaner, hope my Bank Manager is in a good mood! lol

Same comments as side 1!

VINYL SUMMARY (SIDE 1/SIDE 2): EX+

VERY nice and VERY rare VERTIGO SPACESHIP issue. Rumours are that just a few hundred copies at the absolute most were produced on this fourth pressing. The chances of getting one as good as this are VERY slim indeed! DON'T MISS IT! If anyone wants any further info please don't hesitate to e-mail me and if you need more pics, likewise, just get in touch and I'll try my best to accommodate you. If anyone wants to make me a reasonable offer, then feel free, I would consider it!

All records are sent in professional cardboard mailers, with stiffener and removed from the covers to prevent seam splits in transit.
