Black Sabbath : Vol 4 1st uk Pressing 1Y-1 / 2Y-1 with large Vertigo Swirl Label,

The vinyl itself I have classed as Near Mint condition but it is almost Mint and can be considered a FINAL Upgrade or Archive copy as it has NEVER BEEN PLAYED, EVER as well as being the 1st UK PRESSING. This record has come from my personal collection kept in safe conditions at all time.

Due to the obviously EXCELLENT CONDITION of this record it should play perfectly with deep rich beautiful sounds. With no faults, skips throughout with only possibly a little low hum during quietest moments like inbetween tracks, although you may hear the occasional pop, these will be FEW & be but nothing that will take away ANY of the pleasure, well asplays to a standard that is so rarely found today, it is stunning!

A first pressing is denoted by there being no 'Made In England' on the label and a small swirl and VERTIGO above the spindle hole. The matrix will be 1Y1 and 2Y1 and Porky and Pecko is always etched on the run out grooves relating of course to the famous 'George Peckham'. The matt gatefold has the VO Price Code on the back and no track times on the inside.

The gatefold cover is in EXCELLENT which again I rate to be NEAR MINT have swith only minor shelf WEAR and the four page inner booklet is still firmly attached. The original swirl inner is also in excellent condition.

I HAVE GRADED THIS RECORD VISUALLY ONLY & HAVE COMMENTED ON WHAT THIS EXCELLENT SPECIMEN SHOULD SOUND DUE TO ITS EXCELLENT CONDITION

Visual grading

This is without a doubt the most immaculate first press vinyl I have ever seen of this classic album. It has a beautiful glossy sheen and there are no visible marks or scratches at all. Although a FEW HAIRLINES may be present they WILL NOT AFFECT the performance and quality of sound this very desired record has to offer.

There won't be many at this you find in this condition, edition. A time warp classic! The run out grooves and labels are course the quiet 'Changes' and I can honestly say it passes the test in superb style! The piano intro has no 'background' and this . If there is any static, then it WILL BE MINIMAL with only a couple of clicks throughout the ENTIRE RECORD and the clarity should be incredible! IF There are only a couple of light static ticks and I am sure no one would disagree with a Near Mint grade. You can turn it up to loud no problem and the audio has just so much power and depth as you'd expect from a NEW RECORD, not from one NEARLY 50 years old.

--------------------------------------------

Overall it should play as if it was NEW due to its NM / EX CONDITION, which is NM.

Records with the quality of the one for sale here are becoming harder to find all the time, due to the damand for this album, its worth will continue to increase.

HAPPY BIDDING AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL
