Black Sabbath's 4th album on the original Vertigo Swirl label with first press matrices and hand-etched PORKY/PECKO in deadwax. Comes with the Howards Printers gatefold sleeve with glued-in 4 page booklet which is in superb condition. Also has the original swirl inner sleeve to make a nice complete set.

VINYL

Vinyl looks EX with a few light hairlines (only visible under very bright light) and a couple of light surface marks that have very little effect on playback at all. Minimal background crackle on run ins or quiet intros. Excellent playing copy. Superb tone and volume. Even the quiet tracks "Changes" and "Laguna Sunrise" play very nicely indeed. A very respectable collector's copy. 

 

OUTER SLEEVE

Sleeve is in EX condition with light foxing and ringwear to outer covers. Spine is square and legible. Slight touch ups to edges but looks nice overall. Inner gatefold has the correct 'Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd' credit and NO track running times and on the rear has the correct 'VO PRICE CODE 6360 071' wording - all of which demonstrate this as a very 1st UK issue sleeve.

 

LABELS

Labels are clean with just a few spindle traces visible, no graffiti. EX+

 

INNER SLEEVE/INSERT

Original swirl inner sleeve in superb condition, no seam splits, no graffiti etc.
