On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Black Sabbath called 'Black Sabbath Vol. 4' and is an ORIGINAL 1972 UK Vertigo Pressing on the IMPOSSIBLY RARE Vertigo 'Spaceship' label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THE RAREST PRESSING OF THIS LP EVER MADE - AND IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  MANY COLLECTORS WILL ALREADY KNOW JUST HOW RARE THIS LP REALLY IS ON THIS LABEL - BUT FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT - I WILL EXPLAIN BELOW.

WHEN THIS LP WAS RELEASED IN LATE 1972 - IT WAS 1ST PRESSED ON THE VERY COMMON VERTIGO 'SPIRAL' LABEL - AND SOLD IN HUGE AMOUNTS!!!!  HOWEVER SOON AFTER THIS LP WAS RELEASED, VERTIGO DROPPED THEIR LEGENDARY 'SPIRAL' LABELS - AND REPLACED THEM WITH THE VERTIGO 'SPACESHIP' LABEL THAT LASTED THROUGHOUT THE 1970s.  NOW, NORMALLY A 2ND PRESS VERTIGO ON THE 'SPACESHIP' LABEL OF ANY OTHER LP WOULDNT BE THAT EXCITING - AS VERTIGO USUALLY KEPT MOST OF THEIR LPS IN PRINT FOR A LONG TIME.  HOWEVER!!!!  IN THIS CASE, ONLY DAYS AFTER THE VERTIGO CHANGED THEIR LABELS - BLACK SABBATH HAD A BIG DISPUTE WITH VERTIGO, AND LEFT THE LABEL - CHANGING TO WWA!!!!  AND DUE TO A CLAUSE IN THE CONTRACT - THEY ALSO TOOK ALL THE PUBLISHING RIGHTS TO THEIR PREVIOUS LPS WITH THEM ASWELL!!!!  AND SO ONLY DAYS AFTER THE VERTIGO LABELS WERE CHANGED FROM 'SPIRAL' TO 'SPACESHIP' - VERTIGO WERE ORDERED TO STOP PRODUCTION IMMEDIATELY!!!!  AND THIS MEANT THAT ONLY A FEW HUNDRED COPIES OF THIS LP WERE EVER PRESSED ON THIS IMPOSSIBLY RARE 'SPACESHIP' LABEL, MAKING THIS THE RAREST BLACK SABBATH LP OF ALL TIME!!!!  SO DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE SERIOUS RARITY OF THIS LP!!!!  BARELY ANY COPIES WERE EVER MADE ON THIS ULTRA RARE VERTIGO 'SPACESHIP' LABEL - AND IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1972 UK VERTIGO 'SPACESHIP' PRESSING ON THE IMPOSSIBLY RARE 'SPACESHIP' VERTIGO 'SPIRAL' LABEL, ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE, AND ORIGINAL GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Vertigo UK 'Spaceship' Pressing from 1972 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is 6360 071 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo Label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo Pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!! 

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also GREAT to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual!!!!  The record plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL Gatefold Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The cover has barely ANY edge wear AT ALL (NOT through the colour!), NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), NO ringwear, only very VERY slight rubbing, NO sticker tears, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO yellowing, NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!! The only other VERY minor detail to mention is that parts of the EXTREME edges ONLY - look to have been INCREDIBLY well 'touched in' at some point in the past - though this is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to notice, is AMAZINGLY well done, and only serves to enhance what is already a BRILLIANT conditioned cover!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good+ if better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
