Description
On offer here is a an album by Black Sabbath entitled Vol.4.What makes it very collectible is that it was pressed on the short lived spaceship label during a transmission period of a few days.I have heard that only 300 were pressed so it is mega rare.Just look at the photographs taken from many angles.
Labels
I would grade both labels as NM,no writing or names, not even a few spindle marks.
Vinyl
I would grade both sides as EX.There were no scratches or scuffs just a few wispy lines caused by removing the vinyl from the sleeve.I have had the record cleaned by a professional cleaning expert who uses a machine costing £1000s.I have played it through on a Linn Sondek turntable and it sounds good throughout just slight background noise in the quietest tracks but nothing to spoil the enjoyment of the music.
Sleeve
This is a gatefold unlaminated sleeve.I would class it as being in VG condition. There is considerable wear on the edges and the spine ..There is no writing on the sleeve. These sleeves were rather fragile and prone to wear with badly worn spines and feathering but this sleeve, although nowhere near mint,is acceptable unless you are a perfectionist. The booklet is inside. These sleeves are rather common so a buyer should be able to upgrade to a better copy without much trouble.
Overall ,I do not think this rare album will disappoint any winning bidder and to give everyone a chance,I have deliberately set a low start price for the auction. It is not mint so please do not bid if you are searching for a mint copy.It goes without saying that if anyone is disappointed,I offer a compromise or a full refund..Please contact me directly if there is a problem. If you are secretly happy, please do not contact me simply to negotiate a lower price than the amount bid. This defeats the purpose of ebay.
Postage
I offer free postage to U.K.buyers and will ship world wide.£10 for Europe,£15 for rest of world.I have in the past excluded certain countries such as Russia and the Ukraine. In Russia sadly parcels are held up at customs ,go missing or the item can take 10 to 12 weeks to be delivered.Buyers would need to be patient and accept the purchase at their own risk but I will send all items tracked and can email a copy of the tracking receipt.I know some sellers have stopped sending to certain countries.
Payment
I refer PayPal in the U.K. but would accept a cheque or postal order.PayPal only for the rest of the world.I do not have a facility to accept credit cards unless this is possible via PayPal.
