BLACK SABBATH--BLACK SABBATH--UK ORIGINAL PRESSING. 1970, stereo VO6
SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD and UN-LAMINATED. THESE VERY FIRST ORIGINAL PRINTED SLEEVES WERE MADE FROM A VERY COURSE GRADE OF CARD BOARD WHICH GIVES THE SURFACE AN UN-EVEN LOOK AND FEEL. THIS IS ONLY SEEN ON THE VERY FIRST PRESS SLEEVES. The edges are N/MINT with NO SPLITS. The opening edges are in lovely N/MINT condition. There is only minor spine colour fade caused by exposure to sun light, and the information is clear and un-damaged, there is wear and a little 'dink' creasing to the tips of the corners. All in all this is in very respectable condition for a 41year old UN-LAMINATED sleeve. VG++
LABELS.....There is small red stickers, There are moderate spindle marks on either side, this album has obviously been well played, EX/EX. VERY FIRST PRESS WITH ' A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT' AT THE BASE OF HE B-SIDE LABEL.
VINYL..... This is NOT a MINT album . When you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see LOTS of light surface hair lines but only 1 or 2 scratches(Please view the picture showing the worst of this marking)which do not stand out from the music and can only be heard in the quiet parts (of which there are very few on this superb album). As with each and every one of the albums I sell, I have played this album It is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo separation. There are dust crackles that can only be heard in the quiet parts of the music or between tracks, but a professional clean could help sort out some of that. These HEAVY VINYL original pressings are second to none. Although this is a well played and marked copy it is by no means at the end of it's playing life, It really does still sound fresh. VG+/VG+.
