BLIND FAITH - CHANGE OF ADDRESS/SALES OFFICE
Very Rare 7" Island Single. Recorded 1969

Description:
This is an extremely rare opportunity to own a copy of an ultra scarce promo instrumental single - ONLY 1 OF 500 IN EXISTENCE - sent by Island records to notify their change of address. Recorded by Blind Faith at Morgan Studios, London in February or March 1969. Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood and Ginger Baker all played on this track, but I am not too sure that Rick Grech was present during this jam session. Both sides have the same instrumental recording of this tune.

'Change of Address' side has at the top the pink "island" logo. On the left hand side is the circular black and red and pink logo, and underneath, the text "Cable Address: Ackee W.11 p. 1969". On the right hand side the text "New Telephone No. 01-229-1229". On the bottom of the label are the words 'CHANGE OF ADDRESS FROM JUNE 23rd 1969' and in smaller type "Basing Street, London, W.11. England". In the space between the end of the recording and the label are the words "BASING STREET".

'Sales Office' side has at the top the pink "island" logo. On the left hand side is the circular black and red and pink logo, and underneath, the text "p. 1969". On the right hand side the text "Telephone No. 01-459-6212". On the bottom of the label are the words "SALES OFFICE" and in smaller type "Music House, 12 Neasden Lane, London, N.W.10. England". In the space between the end of the recording and the label are the words "BASING STREET".

Condition:
Label: CHANGE OF ADDRESS side Very Good apart from a few blue pen marks. SALES OFFICE side is in Near Mint codition with virtually no spindle wear.
Vinyl: Very Good+ some very light crackling at the start of each side, 'Change of Address' side a little scuffing, 'Sales Office' just slightly better sound repro but both sides play really well with no scratches and no annoying repeated clicking or jumps. There is no original pink sleeve with this disk, it will be sent to the winning bidder with a replacement sleeve - that is unless I can find one in the meantime.
