Description
Here is a rare opportunity to obtain a first press UK copy of the brilliant Blind Faith album with the sought after and nonsensical 'BLIND' front cover. This fully laminated (front and rear) single sleeve copy very rarely turns up, as almost all examples of the sole Blind Faith album were produced with the controversial 'prepubescent girl' gatefold. Online experts have suggested that this extremely rare 'BLIND' cover was produced in an attempt to appease offended stockists who declined to carry the 'girl' gatefold. However, the alternative sleeve stated simply 'BLIND' on the front, which made neither retail nor common sense, and so it was quickly and quietly dropped. It is believed that fewer than one in fifty sleeves produced were of the 'BLIND' alternative variety. And here is a great example of this rare curio. The fully laminated single sleeve is in VG+ condition with just a little light creasing, some laminate lift along the spine (but no damage) and a small area of rubbing on the top of the H on the rear cover title. The first press Polydor disc is in strong VG+ condition with only light surface marks and certainly no feelable scratches showing when viewed under strong halogen light. This is a rare chance to obtain this elusive item so good luck if you are bidding. I send all rare vinyl well packed by tracked post with the disc removed from the sleeve to ensure no damage during transit.
