Description

THE BLIND PILGRIM - ANCHOR 380 - MOTHERLESS CHILDREN / OH LORD, IF I HAD MY WAY
This is a fascinating record on several counts!
Anchor is a GOSPEL label from the Forties. It is a reissue of:
BLIND WILLIE JOHNSON - COLUMBIA 14343 - Motherless Children Have A Hard Time / If I Had My Way I Would Tear The Building Down
Remarkable vocal and guitar by legendary artist, from 1927.
CONDITION:  N-  New Minus    Remarkable  condition also.  I could grade it NEW but its been played a few times.

All 78’s are graded by the STANDARD 78 GRADING SYSTEM in VJM MAGAZINE:
N -  Nearly mint. Full luster, appears unplayed. No signs of wear or handling.
E+  Plays like new. Barely played. Full luster. Very few mild signs of handling or storage.
E    Still nearly full luster. Slight indication of a few careful plays. May have few inaudible scuffs or scratches.
E-   Still shiney but without the luster of a new record. Has some grey, mild wear and/or scratches, scuffs.
V+  An average used 78 in which general use and scuffs have dulled the surface. Has considerable grey.       Surface noise present, but not pronounced.
V    Obvious wear throughout. All or most of surface is grey. Often still plays loud, music above surface noise.
V-   Deeper groove wear, even more surface noise. Looking pretty bad, and not playing well either.
G    Seriously worn, scratched, scuffed record. Music and surface noise about equal.
F    Really deep wear. Surface noise exceeds music. May not play through.
P   Unplayable.
