BLODWYN PIG "AHEAD RINGS OUT".
EXCELLENT RECORD AND EXCELLENT SLEEVE.
VERY RARE PINK ISLAND WHITE i , FIRST PRESSING ILPS 9101. IN STEREO.
RELEASED IN 1969.
First Pressing Matrix Numbers ILPS 9101:
Side1: ILPS + 9100 +A, last zero scratched out to read 9101 , no other markings or numbers.
Side2: ILPS +9101 + B2, again no other markings.
An Outstanding Debut Album from Mick Abrahams soon after he left Jethro Tull, hard to believe that this record is now an incredible 40 years old!!!.
The Record is in very good condition. The Labels are also very good, original Pink Island "white i" label. Coarse pink labels with a very distinctive inner groove, typical of many of the late 60's, very early 70 Island first pressings. Both the Labels show only minimal signs of any spindle marking and there is no wear to the centre holes. No writing on the labels. Labels in Excellent condition.
The record plays very well, please note that there is some light background/hiss noise detectable, mainly noticable to the run ins where needle has dropped as is common, and on the very quieter parts, overall a great record.
The Vinyl is the wonderful thick, heavy 60's Isalnd vinyl, Superb vinyl.!! There are some very feint visible surface marks which are noticable when viewed under a very strong light, as is normally the case with older and played records, and there are two noticable, but only light, surface scuff marks to side 1, otherwise surface is excellent. Overall in very good condition and the record plays very well on both sides.
The Sleeve is in very good condition, thick card with a Full Matt Finish Sleeve, minimum signs of any wear, light edge wear and corner wear, top corner most wear, through storage. There are No nasty creases, No tears, No writing, No tear marks or rips. Some very light creasing visible around record outline on rear of sleeve. The opening edges are reasonably sharp and show only minor signs of wear. The thin spine is rigid, some surface wear to top as stated earlier, crease free, most of the text is still intact. Original Sleeve printed and made by Ernest J Day& Co Ltd London.
Inner gatefold sleeve is excellent, clean condition, no grubby marks or tears.
The rear of the Sleeve has been signed at some stage by four band members, certainly one reads as Mick Abrahams, but not sure who the other signatures are.

Record comes complete with a Paper Inner Sleeve.
Rare Island Record, and no doubt getting harder to find in excellent condition, !!
Record will be posted in fully protective packaging.
