Well played hard rock in the style of many other non-mainstream early 70's guitar & keyboard driven hard rock bands such as; Bull Angus, Indian Summer, Jackal, and Sir Lord Baltimore. Bloody Mary's sounds like the better parts of Baltimore and in some cases exceeds them in musicianship itself, I doubt very much I would have played this album as often as I have over the years had it not been for the quality of the music which warrants a 4.75 / 5 rating.
The record really does not give any information as to who was in this bands line-up within the credits. The back of the jacket is taken up mostly by the song lyrics, with a small space at the top listing the song titles. At the bottom we have info like; Recorded at Ultrasonic Studios Hempstead NY - Engineer: John Bradly. Mastering: Sol and Domenick at Media Sound. Producer: Vinny Testa. Below all that, the band give thanks to several people by first name only. Even on the "Family Productions, Inc" labels themselves there's nothing other than track listings/run-times etc. Not even a last name credit adjacent to the song title.
I bought this LP sealed, and there was no inner sleeve packed, so this band's true lineup has always been a mystery to me. This has been one of my bitches with other Family Production releases. If you are into the bands mentioned above I would think you know about this record. If not grab a copy .
