Just listened to this wonderful record on my Audiotronics 304A...of course all grading is objective but I would grade it as a VG using the grading guide in Les Dock's American Premium Record Guide....you will receive the record as I found it, meaning, uncleaned...so a good cleaning should improve sound quality...did the best I could to provide some good photos to help you judge condition....had a hard time to give accurate color on label close-ups, too red.... see longer range photo #8 for most accurate depiction...I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have...

don't miss out on your chance to own this extremely rare jazz record.  Thank you and good luck.

Notes on Blu-Disc Record Company:

In 1924 Leroy Smith and his orchestra appeared in a stage production in New York, and the newly formed Blu-Disc Record Company recorded two of the selections the band introduced in the show. The record was available at the theater's cigar counter and postcard sized flyers (see photo) were provided to help generate sales. Unfortunately it appears this was the only place Blu-Disc records could be purchased. As a result, the Blu-Disc Record Co. may hold the dubious distinction of being the shortest-lived record company in history. It's catalog seems to begin and end in the month of December 1924. Supposedly, the company issued the records listed on the flyer, (again, see photo) some of these records have never been found, and there is doubt as to whether they were all actually pressed. Needless to say, Blu-Disc records are among the rarest known. (Courtesy of the Montgomery archive)

NEW  (N ):  Apparently unplayed and showing no signs of wear.

EXCELLENT  (E) :  Showing only slight wear. Playing surfaces retain much of their original shine. Surface noise is minimal.

VERY GOOD  (VG ) :  Somewhat more worn than an excellent record, slight grayness appearing in the grooves, especially in louder passages. Still a fairly clean and acceptable copy. Surface and extraneous noise is noticeable, but does not overwhelm the music.

GOOD  (G) :  A misnomer. A “good” record is really not so good. It shows considerable wear and usage, grayness in the grooves, random mars and light abrasions from a sleeveless existence. Surface noise is prominent enough to impair enjoyment of the music.
