Description
BLUE BEAT SPECIAL.
ON COXSONE RECORDS
CAT No CSP 1
From 1968
1st issue
I bought this record new in 1968,
In Readings records of Clapham Junction.
I play all my records before I put them on, but I have to say, this just brought back wonderful memories of my teenage years in south London when I was privileged to hang out with a bunch of guys whose parents had come over on the Windrush, I must have looked odd as the only white guy, but they taught me more about life then anyone. We lost touch when I moved to Kingston (Surrey not Jamaica!) it was a sad loss.
THE RECORD PLAYS WITHOUT FAULT, IT MAY HAVE JUST 1 OR 2 VERY LIGHT MARKS, BUT YOU CAN’T HEAR THEM, IT IS VERY CLOSE TO “AS NEW”
THE LABLES ARE PERFECT.
THE SLEEVE HAS A LITTLE LIGHT RINGING, SOME LIGHT BROWING TO THE REAR AND SOME LIGHT CREASING TO THE FRONT, ALL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.
The TRACKS are.
Side 1
SOMETHING SPECIAL. By SOUL VENDORS.
DO IT RIGHT By THE TERMITES.
MIDNIGHT SPECIAL. By JACKIE MITTOO.
LET HIM TRY. By ALTON ELLIS.
THE WHIP. By SOUL VENDORS.
Side 2
GET WITH IT. By SOUL VENDORS.
GROOVE TO THE BEAT By KEITH & KEN.
MY LAST LOVE By THE TERMITES.
EARLY BIRD By SOUL BROTHERS.
RUN BOY RUN By DUDLEY SIBLEY.
JUST A WORD ABOUT POSTAGE-
SADLY UNLIKE THE DEALERS, PRIVATE SELLERS HAVE NO ACCESS TO THE DISCOUNTED COURIERS AND PACKING MATERIALS, WE ALSO HAVE TO PAY A 10% COMISSION TO EBay ON OUR POST AND PACKING CHARGE. IT TAKES ME ½ AN HOUR TO PACK A RECORD TO MY HIGH STANDARD, I ALWAYS POST WITHIN 24 HOURS USING 1ST CLASS, I BELIEVE MY P/P COST ARE FAIR. Also I will give Good postage reductions for multiples.
This record will be securely & well packed in layers of heavy-duty card and wrapped in heavy weight paper to avoid damage.
Please note certain countries outside EU, NORTH AMERICA, AUSTRALIA, & JAPAN, will require tracked postage at extra cost. If in doubt please contact.
I HAVE A HUGE RECORD COLLECTION AND I AM NOW SLOWLY SELLING THEM ON AS MY GRAND KIDS HAVE NO INTEREST- IPODS?? MANY MORE TO COME.
Thank You, Stephen.
