I've got a feeling that the way of got this auction planned isn't quite how its meant to be done, but if you're game, so am I.
I've been very busy lately, collecting records here there and everywhere (and probably very annoying in the process, sorry!) and I've ended up with multiples of the 14 Record BEATLES BLUE BOXED SET.
Its interesting that the Boxed Sets always involve crystal clean vinyl (and a half ratty box!),but I guess that's understandable, because most times, the vinyl never gets touched.
Anyhow, the madness planned in this auction is partly to test the water, but also to check a theory that another record collecting nutter friend of mine has, in that the individual records are valued more highly than the complete sets.
What I'd like to try, (and please let me know if its a totally useless endeavour), is to see if anyone is after perhaps just the box and one or more Lps to complete a set, or whether (unlike my friend's theory,there is interest in someone paying say $120 or more, for the complete set.).Revolver and Help are included, but don't show in the photo (they are hiding under the Box). Please also be assured that if you're bidding on the Complete set of 14 LPS (13 Albums,but the White Album is a double), they are both authentic sets, with as new vinyl, and as packaged on the day they where pressed (these are not mixed and matched collections).
I have another Full Set, which I've listed as individual records (mainly because the box is not very good,but also in case collectors are looking for just one or more single albums,to complete their own boxed set) and because the collections are identical, if you view the individual albums, that is the same as what your bidding on if you would like the entire collection (including a very nice box, if the bidding gets up over $150 and an even better one at $180), Ta! If the bidding actually gets to say $180, then I'll make sure you get the Pristine Item, with the White Album as Green Apple Labels, (including the PHOTOS!!), with every single record like brand new and a very good Blue Box to boot.
If the bidding ends up as say $150- $180, I'll make sure you still get the White Album with the Apple labels and photos, and as new records, but the second box is showing some wear.
If the bidding is in between $120-$150, You'll get the full set (of as new LPs), but there are no photos with the White Album, and its the plan labels.
If the bidding is very low,then I'll take that as a signal that my friend was right, and please don't view this as me trying to be too clever , but: $20-$50 (Box plus any 3 Albums ,apart from the Double White Album). From $50 on, add another album, for each extra $10 bid.
Postage is $10 for the part box and $15 for the complete box (and I'd doubt that we'll be able to post overseas, for much less than $35 AUD, as the complete weight is over 2.5kgs).
Insurance is offered, at very cheap rates locally.
