BLUE MITCHELL - THE THING TO DO LP BLUE NOTE 1965 STEREO VAN GELDER EAR G+.
PLEASE STUDY PICTURES CLOSELY BEFORE BIDDING, MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THE CONDITION
Record: G+
As you can see from the final picture, there are lots of scratches on the surface of the vinyl. However, it plays through without skipping on my turntable, and in fact sounds pretty good, as is often the case with these Plastylite Blue Notes. Genuinely an enjoyable listen; all instruments sound strong and the music comes through clearly despite the consistent surface noise. Van Gelder and Plastylite "ear"/P stamped in the matrix, NY labels, second press from 1965.
Cover: G+
As the pictures show, much of the damage is on the seams--lots of flaking, every seam has some smaller splits, and there's tape on the top and bottom. Some staining on the back as well. However, the cover image itself has almost no damage.
Features Junior Cook, Chick Corea, Gene Taylor, and Aloysius Foster. Mastered by Rudy Van Gelder.
