Portrait of Jazz - Salesman's Demonstration Record August, 1967 Releases - Blue Note SS-536. Sleeve Booklet VG++ (very light edge wear, light discoloration of edges). Record: NM. Unbelievably rare Blue Note collectible... these were made only for salesmen reps of Blue Note to promote the label's releases. I believe there were no more than a handful of these made. A google search reveals that only this very copy that you're bidding on has ever been posted. It was sold a couple of years ago by a friend of mine. Until another copy surfaces I think we can safely assume this is a one of a kind item... so bid accordingly! Booklet contains numerous images of albums released, as well as some other pages devoted to back catalog items, suggested advertising layouts and so forth. And of course there's an accompanying album highlighting strong tracks from each record. The pressing of the record is very loud and the sound is rather exceptional. Given the low volumes pressed, this basically like hearing a guaranteed blue note promo, and presumably amongst the first 1 to 10 copies that came off the stampers. Incredible! Who knows when you'll ever see another copy of this posted!? Do not miss this!!
I only sell vintage original pressing unless I specifically note otherwise. All records are from my personal collection. I use the following grades: NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-. Check my feedback and you'll see that I'm an honest seller!
PAYMENT: PAYPAL ONLY. Payment expected within 5 days of auction close. Owlsleep wishes you happy bidding!
