DIODO / UNCLE JIM ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by BLUE PHANTOM aka H. TICAL aka ARMANDO SCIASCIA. Original Italian pressing on SPIDER RECORDS label (VRN 34106), from 1971. Original 1st press (with rare picture sleeve) of this underground Italian acid rock rarity. Punishing, psychedelic rhythms and funky drum breaks throughout the amazing DIODO side. Maybe the very best theme from the Distortions Italian Library session by Vedette label owner and electronics pioneer, Armando Sciascia. Aggressive rock beats like a hard hitting Led Zep tune with buzzing fuzz distortions and stoned / disturbing electronic keyboard hooks. This theme (and other soundtrack cues by Jean-Berand Raiteux and Vladimir Cosma) was apparently used in a hardcore porn version of the Jess Franco exploitation film, Le Journal Intime D'une Nymphomane aka Diary Of A Nymphomaniac. Great for DJs. Mood music for fans of Psycheground on Lupus and the Braens Machine too. Comped on Introducing The Alternative Italian B-movie Soundtrack by the Plastic label. The b-side UNCLE JIM is hippie pop with goofy infectious arrangement that was never included on the original Distortions Library release, only this single. Spooky Comus / grotesque gothic artwork sleeve to die for. Very rare 45!!!
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition with a few light scuffs and hairlines. The card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M- overall) with very light wear. Just some creasing and corner wear in places from storage. Both sides of the sleeve have the exact same artwork except for track title name at the top. Very rare 45!!!
