Spirit of Sound Records has come into vinyl LP gems, 45s and 78s from all genres in prime condition and will be listing regularly for the foreseeable future. OLIVER NELSON, THE BLUES AND THE ABSTRACT TRUTH; Impulse A-5, 1961 Original. Mono. Oliver Nelson, arranger, alto and tenor sax with Bill Evans, piano; Freddie Hubbard, trumpet; Eric Dolphy, alto sax and flute; George Barrow, baritone sax; Paul Chambers, bass and Roy Haynes, drums. Terrific record!! Vinyl is VG+/EX, clean with original glossy sheen, a few very light, barely visible (under halogen lamp) hairline marks and light sleeve wear. Random play grade plays EX with full dynamic sound. Labels are clean, no marks, light wear around spindle hole. Gatefold Jacket is EX, clean, solid, nice gloss, no splits or tears with light wear and previous owner's name in ink and bullets in front of 5 song titles inside gatefold (does not obscure any text or graphics). Rare mono original of this seminal jazz classic in very nice condition!

Each LP purchased will be cleaned on a VPI Professional Cleaning Machine before shipping. We will play grade any recording we offer at bidder's request. Our grading system is essentially the same as in Goldmine with one exception. We use EX (in lieu of VG++) for vinyl that is between VG+ and just this side of Mint-.
Spirit of Sound ships, in good faith, via USPS. We combine shipping for multiple purchases. To insure customer satisfaction, we will include Tracking on all domestic orders, thus the modest shipping/handling increase. We encourage our international buyers to include insurance and delivery confirmation (registered mail) when choosing a shipping option. Barring this choice, we will ship in good faith at buyers risk.
