Description

"The Best of Muddy Waters" Original Press , Chess Records LP-1427, 1957 Pressing. Cover is a high end VG with front slick clean with no tears or writing. However a small portion of the slick (lower right corner) has started to separate from the cardboard backing,(should be easily repaired).....giving that portion of the cover a bit of a wavy appearance. Top seam neatly taped and bottom seam 2/3 rds neatly taped. Spine is intact and easily readable. Backside of cover has original owners name written on it in ink near the top seam (some of it under the tape).
Play tested both sides completely thru : 11 out of 12 tracks play clean (with some surface noise). Track 5 does have soft ticks here and there....but does not overwhelm the playback.
There is a visible scratch on side one that goes thru track 2 and part of track 3  (please see pic).

Track 2 ("Long Distance Call") has several non-hanging needle jumps at very start....rest of the track plays fine. Track 3 ("Louisiana Blues") plays good.
Now....if you are skilled at dealing with scratches....as some collectors are....perhaps this scratch can be repaired. Worth the effort.

Good Luck....please message if questions. thanks!
