B.MARLEY CATCH A FIRE orig ZIPPO COVER  bra lp - island wip9127.002  p1977
Offered on sale here is the rare brasilian first pressing for B.MARLEY debut album CATCH A FIRE with the desirable original ZIPPO gimmick cover. The cover is in great conditions full VG with no damages ( discoloration and light creasing on top border, spine is still in great conditions; zippo opening still attached) The records is in EX condition on the A side, the B side is in GOOD condition.This becouse it has a small scratch (less than 1 cmt) on the begining of STIR IT UP, causing some occasional light clicks for about 50 second, ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS; the rest of the tracks play EX, shiny vinyl with light superficial scuffs. It looks as a tragic scratch on a beautiful shiny vinyl ex copy but actually the scratch does not affect playing so much as seems at first look.So this can really be a great starting copy for this very rare album considering the overall conditions for sleeve and vinyl. (please note that this brasilian pressing has an incredibly good sound quality for brasilian standars and is not at all inferior to uk first press). Any of the first two pressing(orange/1976 and pink labels1975)are now very rare and collectable. Original brasilian first pressing from 1977 comes with the island orange palmtree label.
