BOB DYLAN AT BUDOKAN 1978 Columbia US 1st Press PC2 36067 Poster 2LP
Released in 1978, Bob Dylan at Budokan captures Bob Dylan live in Tokyo during his celebrated 1978 world tour. Recorded at the famed Nippon Budokan Hall, the performances feature bold reinterpretations of Dylan classics with a large touring band, brass arrangements, and a polished late-1970s stage production.
Songs such as “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “Shelter From The Storm,” “Like A Rolling Stone,” and “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” appear in unique live arrangements from this era, reflecting the dramatic stylistic changes Dylan explored during the late-70s touring period.
This copy is an Original U.S. First Pressing issued by Columbia Records with early 2E metal parts on all four sides, indicating early production lacquers. The album includes the original printed inner sleeves and the large fold-out poster, making this a desirable complete collector copy.
