Description
BOB DYLAN – BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME, ALBUM FROM 1965 ON THE CBS LABEL NUMBERED BPG 62515.
An album from what I can only call the anal retentive collection, as it is in such stunning condition the previous owner must have wrapped it in cotton wool.
THE VINYL
I would like to grade the vinyl as MINT but as I’m not sure it hasn’t been played a lowly N/M condition will have to do, there is not a mark on any sides of the vinyl it looks like it has just walked out of the shop. A UK MONO FIRST PRESSING which bears the matrix numbers.
Side One = 62515-2A-1 (UK Matrix)
Side Two = XLP-79422-1A (USA Master Matrix)
After doing a lot of research and reading up on this album I believe the matrix numbers listed above make this a very early first release copy, and extremely rare.
THE LABELS
Again MINT condition but can only be graded as N/M, no writing, no stckers, nothing, FIRST PRESSING TEXTURED LABELS, which bear the playing speed as 33, which was later changed to 33 1/3.
It does NOT have RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED label text.
The artists name is in NON BOLD TYPE FACE where the rest of the label printing is in BOLD TYPE FACE.
THE SLEEVE
Front laminated tri flip back sleeve, made by Ernest J Day & Co Ltd London, and with NO “patent pending” printing text added as in later copies.
BPG 62515 is printed BELOW the CBS logo in the top right.
The front laminated sleeve is in N/M condition, free of stickers and writing and ring wear, all three flip backs are whole and stuck down as new, the spine is still crisp and sharp and still readable, the rear of the album is still nice and white with no dulling from too much handling. No rips or tears. The record is housed in a plain poly lined sleeve, later copies were in a sleeve bearing advertising.
A real rareity in suprb condition that does not come onto the market very often, don’t miss this one.
