Description
Here we have a real beauty, a true original from a very important time. This near flawless Mono copy of Bob Dylan's classic album Bringing it all Back Home looks and sounds as fresh as when it was pressed. This was part of a huge collection I bought a few years ago which also included a Stereo edition, which I have decided to keep.The cover is clean and has no creases, a clearly legible spine and clean flipback back cover. At the bottom right it clearly states Printed and Made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London. Check the third picture here to see how clean it looks. See the second picture to see the textured label with the rim around the outside which denotes a very early pressing, and the speed of 33 (Not 33 1/3 which would suggest a later pressing). There is no damage and no evidence of a heavy amount of play around the centre holes; the previous owner was meticulously careful with vinyl and I've only played it once myself. The matrices in the dead wax are as follows :- for side one there is 62515-3A-1 at 12 o'clock, an A followed by two indistinct marks at 6 o'clock and D at 9 o'clock. On side two there is 62515-2B-1 at 12 o'clock and the thick A followed by the two indistinct marks again at 6 o'clock. The vinyl positively shines, such is the quality. The sound quality is so unutterably superb that it's difficult to believe that the record is 44 years old. Silent grooves are evident throughout apart from a little hiss at the very end. I categorically defy anyone to find a better copy of this classic and ground breaking album, and eagerly await any questions about this beautiful item wherever they may come from.
