Description
This is the incredibly rare original edition of BOB DYLAN'S "Great White Wonder" double LP, the LP that started the entire 'gray area' music movement. This record originally came out in mid-1969, and this original edition actually pre-dates the copies that had the title hand-stamped on the white cover. I purchased this in NYC within a week of Rolling Stone magazine's article highlighting this record. THE COVER: In 1969, I chose to write a description on the front cover (see the first picture), the song titles and source info on the inside of the gatefold (second picture), and the song titles on the white record labels. The cover has mild age discoloration and a trace of ringwear and a full seamsplit on the top of the second record (the back flap of the gatefold) and about a 2 inch seamsplt on the first record. THE RECORDS themselves are shiny black with only the slightest paper scruffs and . . . THEY PLAY MINT MINUS. For all the flaws described above, this is still a very nice copy of this incredibly rare and historic album. MATRIX NUMBERS: Sides 2, 3 & 4 are GF-002, 003 and 004. I can't quite make out Side 1 but I'm assuming it's GF-001.
