BOB DYLAN - HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED - RARE, ORIGINAL 1965 U.S. MONO PRESSING - EXCELLENT CONDITION!!!

Matrix numbers -   Side 1 - XLP 110638-1A, Side 2 - XLP 110639-1A

This is a rare, original Mono, first U.S. commercial pressing of Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited, manufactured and released in 1965.  It has the"2-eye," "360 Sound" label, with "NONBREAKABLE" printed beneath the catalog number on the label - CL 2389; and XLP 110638 and XLP 110639 printed beneath SIDE 1 and SIDE 2 on the label, respectively.   Matrix numbers stamped on the vinyl are marked "1A" on each side.  This mono version of the LP has significantly different mixes and track lengths than the current stereo CD, including different edits and fades.  The word "meaningful" near the end of the next-to-last paragraph of the liner notes on the rear of the jacket -- which was replaced by "meaningless" in subsequent copies, indicates that this specific record was from the first commercial pressing.

Condition:  Record is in excellent condition.  Vinyl is very glossy, with only some very light surface scratching and scuff marks you have to look closely to see; they do not affect play.  Labels are perfect - look "fresh off the press."  Generic inner sleeve is also in perfect condition.  Cardboard jacket shows some light smudging and minimal edgewear; it bears a couple of small, old price stickers, but is overall in excellent shape for a 40-year-old record - no splits or discrete marks, no record ring, very little degradation to album front photo or rear liner notes.  Comes in protective poly sleeve.
