HERE YOU GET TWO EXTREMELY RARE ITEMS:
1. GERMAN 12” MAXI SINGLE (45 rpm)
No. 17 of 150 COPIES!
Side one:
Hurricane
Side two:
Idiot wind
The recordings
Side A is the original slower version of Hurricane. It was recorded on July 30th 1975 during the session that produced "Desire". One of the reasons to scrap this version is reported to be a few words that could potentially libel Arthur Dexter Bradley. (although this is not reason enough to re-record the entire song.)
Side B is the original recording of Idiot wind recorded on September 12, 1974. This version was released on early promotional copies of blood on the tracks. This particular recording does not have the jump that distorts previously booted versions.
2. DUTCH “RIPP-OFF” COVER
This cover is even more rare! It was sold to collectors with the promise, that the record would follow. But this never happened! That’s the reason for the comment on the German cover.
