Description
BOB DYLAN - Planet Waves
SONY 25AP 2347
Japanese pressing.
This is the CBS/Sony 1981 re-release of the original Asylum album.
It has a fold-out lyric insert and a red and black obi with black and white text and price ¥2,500.
The rear of the obi has a 1981 Dylan discography. It again has a gold rear sleeve omitting the "obscene" sleeve notes.
The record has red CBS/Sony labels with the logo in a ring round the circumference.
It has a fold out lyric inner, in NM condition.
COVER:
EX/EX+
The cover would be NM but for some dark spotting on the front. I'm pretty sure it will come off but don't want to try.
All edges are superb - straight and clean. Spine, also, is very bright and sharp.
OBI:
NM
One quarter inch crease to rear.
VINYL & LABELS:
NM
Plays perfectly. Absolutely pristine. Incredibly detailed sound.
PLEASE READ THIS BIT:
The photos are a large part of the description and I always try to show any defects. Please have a good look at them.
All records are packed with packaging designed especially for shipping vinyl.
All records will normally be dispatched on the next working day after payment confirmation.
I play test MOST records on a simple REGA RP1 with an old valve amp, using headphones to focus on the sound and any specific flaws.
Any pops or loud crackles will be mentioned, but static often causes this and can be dealt with cheaply.
Some records are noisier than others - due to the original source, for example. If an album is particularly noisy, I aim to point it out.
All records WILL have very fine, light surface scratches from their inner sleeves. They do not affect play and are not considered faults.
I'm an honest bloke and have a decent reputation, and do my best to sort out any mistakes or problems quickly and fairly.
I'm NOT A SHOP
OR PROFESSIONAL DEALER, but a record and music lover who buys, sells and swaps from time to time.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day.
P&P
I use Ebay's GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAMME, as I I just don't have time to negotiate the myriad overseas shipping costs.
Please don't contact me with shopping queries as they are fixed by Ebay.
**************************
I use Record Collectors Grading System
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Un-played should be Mint.
Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
