Description

You are bidding on a NEW & SEALED copy of the ultra-rare 3-LP VINYL BOX SET version of BOB DYLAN - "THE BOOTLEG SERIES VOL. 5 - LIVE 1975 THE ROLLING THUNDER REVUE".  The Bootleg Series Vol. 5: Bob Dylan Live 1975, The Rolling Thunder Revue is a  documents the Rolling Thunder Revue tour of November-December 1975, and was led by Bob Dylan prior to the release of his album "DESIRE". Until the release of this Bootleg Series Box Set, the only official live documentation of the Rolling Thunder Revue was "HARD RAIN" recorded during the second leg of the revue - this box set is from the much more energetic first leg of the tour.

Live 1975 — The Rolling Thunder Revue is essential Dylan material. At the time, Dylan had been riding high on the success of Blood on the Tracks and was preparing to release his follow-up Desire. The concerts were loose and free — almost to a fault.   Most of the contributions from Dylan’s compatriots have been edited from Live 1975 — The Rolling Thunder Revue, and his own set is compiled from five distinct performances, recorded over four nights. What’s left, however, is a stunning representation of Dylan’s 1975 touring canon, laid-out much like a typical concert from the period.  It’s hard to imagine any single concert from this tour sounding quite as good as Live 1975 — The Rolling Thunder Revue. But this collection does a fine job in offering the absolute highlights, piecing them together to create a cohesive historical document of Dylan’s sound at the time.
