Description
BOB DYLAN SINGS “SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK BLUES” c/w “SHE BELONGS TO ME” on Columbia Records 4-43242 (Mono White Label Promo). Disc is VG+; Labels are Near Mint (She Belongs) and VG+ (Subterranean); Sleeve is VG+ (mild ring forming). Radio Station markings on Plug Side; Non-Plug side is clean.
This extremely rare promotional only 45 rpm disc and sleeve combination, features a paper picture sleeve with a black & white shot of Bob on the front, along with a Melody Maker Magazine (British) article from Jan., 1965 by Ray Coleman, featuring endorsements from then-Beatles John Lennon and George Harrison on the rear. The White Label Promo disc comes with titles and label information in red text. The commercial version of this single featured red Columbia labels. This promotional 45 rpm single with white label is extremely rare, the sleeve only having been issued in the U.S. and South Africa, and then in limited distribution to U.S. radio stations only. The South African issues were presumably commercial.
All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer unless already factory sealed. Discs are packaged separately from sleeves to protect against seam splitting. Sleeves are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and both disc and sleeve are shipped in 7” EP/45-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
I grade conservatively and by Goldmine standards.
