Description
Very rare 1962 demonstration copy of Bob Dylan's debut on Columbia Records. CL-1779. This is a mono record and has "DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE" stamped in red on the rear cover and stamped in silver on both center labels. There is also a silver star sticker advertising "A NEW STAR ON COLUMBIA RECORDS" on the front cover. This sticker was exclusive to the very first copies sent to stores. Rare find in this condition! Sounds absolutely wonderful.
Record: VG/VG+ This copy has some minor signs of use including tiny hairlines and paper scuffs on both sides. There is one small mark that can be felt on track A4. The mark is slightly audible but does not cause a skip. The playback on this copy is dynamic and rich. The grooves are well preserved and the LP still has a great shine. Although I have to grade this copy VG because of the small audible mark, this copy has been play tested and still sounds absolutely fantastic.
Cover: VG+ Only minor defect is a small cover tear where a piece of tape was removed. The cover is still well preserved with no seam splits or tape anywhere. Minor signs of storage over the years. Still looks fantastic. Silver star sticker is still well preserved. See photos.
