Description

A fantastic and very rare in the UK early issue American Columbia Records copy of the classic Dylan LP.

Columbia Monaral CL1986. Mono pressing

VINYL is VG/EX High gloss, heavy vinyl, it has a few hairline marks. No play issues at all and sounds great.  "360 Sound" Labels are pristine both sides. Play tested on a Dual CS503 turntable.

Matrix side 1 -XLP-58717-3C

Matrix side 2 -XLP-58718-2AC
.
COVER is EX
Extremely clean, crisp cover has light shelf wear to front. No creases, writing or soiling. Thick and stiff American card, not thin UK issue. Seams and spine 100% intact with no wear or splits. All edges straight, all corners sharp. There is a “suntan” storage mark of 5mm width down the front adjacent to the spine where it has been stored in a shelf with some spine edge exposed to sunlight, but otherwise It looks almost like it has come out the distributor’s delivery box! This record is in incredible condition for it’s age!

I have been collecting and working with records for 30 years and spent almost all of the 80’s working in a vinyl record shop, so when I grade records I will often be conservative and undergrade, which means nothing that is secondhand is ever graded Mint, even if it looks un-played. I have 100% feedback on EBay and most of my records will be listed as VG or EX even if they are in better condition.

Postage for items over 15 pounds goes first class signed for, and normal service is used for records of lower value.

Records are graded according to the official Record Collector grading guide below.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are bidding from Europe / out of the UK, I will only send using a signed for service and remember that the goods are always in the condition stated in the listing when they are sent.
