Description
"THREE KINGS AND THE QUEEN" VICTORIA SPIVEY, ROOSEVELT SYKES, LONNIE JOHNSON, BIG JOE WILLIAMS w/ BOB DYLAN
UNOPENED, 80's-era vinyl issue of this blues session featuring a very young Bob Dylan sitting in on harmonica with Big Joe Williams on two tracks. Dylan also contributes background vocals on "Sitting On Top Of The World". This is among Dylan's earliest recordings.
“I think one of the best records that I’ve ever been a part of was the record made with Big Joe Williams and Victoria Spivey. Now that’s a record that I hear from time to time and I don’t mind listening to it. It amazes me that I was there and had done that.” -Bob Dylan (from a Rolling Stone article in 2001.)
The iconic photo on the back cover of 'New Morning', of Bob with Victoria Spivey, was from this session.
