Description

Hello- I'm Bill, and over the next few weeks I'll be selling off my treasured record collection, a course of action forced on me by an imminent move and enforced retirement. I've collected music all my adult life, and will be sad to see it all go . My tastes have varied over the years, as you'll see, but folk and rock have been the backbone of my collection.Over the next few weeks there will be some rarities appearing, believe me! All records will be in at least EX condition, and a lot of NM's too. I'm loathe to use NM, once it's played, it's played, but I try to stick to the RC guidelines, even if my grading is too severe! All records are inspected under a good light, and none are cleaned, only brushed. I know everyone has their own favourite cleaning methods, so why deprive you of the pleasure?(Jan 06)

Now back after a longer than expected hospitalisation and recovery, I’m fit and back on course. Many apologies to those of you who have been waiting to see what comes next. Hopefully this weekend’s offerings will satisfy!......Bill. (Apr 15 06)

This weekend (22 April) I’m selling some of my Dylan. Starting tonight with some odd ones, and over the weekend offering the first 9 of Bob Dylan’s albums, all mono first pressing, all in superb condition.  Fri 21 April.

Sat 22 April.

The next one tonight is Dylan’s seventh Album, from 1966, the fabulous double album ‘Blonde on Blonde’

It is the UK FIRST PRESSING in MONO Format.

The double cover has a laminated front and back, which are excellent, apart from a little laminate creasing  and a tiny corner wear. The front still carries the price sticker of 59/5d (£2.97 in new money!) The spine is  straight and very easily legible. Inside are 9 photos including the photo of Claudia Cardinale, which was removed from later issues.

The inner sleeves  are in  good order too, with only minor creasing .

The vinyl is absolutely excellent. A few scuff marks (very  faint) and acouple of faint spidery marks- that’s ALL!!! All 4 sides are equally good. Play- Grading this one was a pleasure!! NO pops, squeaks, hisses. Virtually silent between the tracks, and it hasn’t even been cleaned! (your job!)

The labels are very very clean, with a few spindle marks.

All in all, probably as good a copy as exists, especially when you consider its 40 years!

One not to be missed!
