BOB LIND "Photographs of Feeling" (WP-1851): lush folk/rock wall of sound album from 1966, produced by Jack Nitzsche. If you like electric Bob Dylan, early Tim Buckley, or Jack Nitzsche produced Neil Young, you need to buy this. Lind was a folk music singer/songwriter who reached the height of his success during the 1960s, best known for his transatlantic chart hit single, ‘Elusive Butterfly,’ which was a #5 hit in the same year this LP was released. Lind's style well beyond the typical folk of the time: his tunes have a fragile sense of poetry that's quite beautiful, a bit like the early work of Leonard Cohen (not as dark); put this together with light strings and interesting orchestrations from Nitzsche, and you have a pretty good record.
