Bob Marley didn't invent reggae music, but he made it famous worldwide. He mastered it, maybe even perfected it. He poured his heart and soul into it, and left this world way too soon! Celebrating its FORTIETH anniversary this year, his greatest hits album (credited to Bob Marley and the Wailers) titled 'Legend' was released in 1984. Nearly the whole world knows these songs! Bob Marley, the Wailers, and his wife and kids have helped make reggae music one of the planet's most admired and influential types of music!
'Legend' is one of the best selling albums of all time, selling over TWENTY FIVE MILLION copies worldwide! Every Marley album is awesome, but this LP takes the hits and puts them all in one place. Most of those songs are still frequently heard in countries all over the world. (RIP to Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, and Peter Tosh. In 2004, TWENTY years ago, Island and Tuff Gong released a special limited edition copy of 'Legend', on rasta colored vinyl (red, green, and gold), and packaged it in an awesome HEMP bag! That's right, the album cover/jacket/tote bag that this comes in is made of hemp! And it's spectacular!
Vinyl looks all shiny and clean, and comes in a plain white generic sleeve inside of the hemp bag. Bag is looking fantastic, as well, and isn't torn or stained at all!
