Description:
Rare original Jamaican 1978 pressing of Kaya by Bob Marley & The Wailers released on the Tuff Gong label.
A particularly interesting and collectible Jamaican pressing variation featuring textured heavyweight labels together with an unusual label misprint, with side two labels appearing on both sides of the record.
The vinyl itself remains in near excellent condition overall with glossy clean surfaces and only light signs of careful previous play visible.
Playback is particularly strong throughout with warm punchy audio characteristic of original Jamaican pressings.
The labels are the distinctive rough textured thick-style labels associated with vintage Jamaican Tuff Gong manufacture.
The sleeve grades VG+ overall with some light general handling/storage wear together with a faint water stain visible toward the right side of the rear sleeve, though this is relatively unobtrusive overall.
Rear sleeve text reads:
“Manufactured and distributed by Tuff Gong Records Limited for the West Indies.”
A highly desirable authentic Jamaican Bob Marley pressing with especially strong appeal to reggae collectors due to the pressing variation, textured labels and unusual side-label misprint configuration.
