Description

  • Bob Marley & The Wailers released their eighth studio album "Rastaman Vibration" in April 1976 on Island Records. It was a huge success with the hit single "Roots, Rock, Reggae" and the album reached No. 8 on the U.S. charts.

  • This Promo copy of (ILPS 9383) is from the First Pressing and is in excellent condition. The cover with a textured burlap feel is still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and easily grades VG+. Please see the pictures but note that the photo of the inner gatefold is from another copy. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Sterling Sound in NYC and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side One dead wax is etched ILPS 9383 A-1C SM STERLING B3 1S except for Sterling which is stamped.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 45 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
