Description
This is one of a large batch of promos and erst pressings I picked up. I'll be listing quite a few of them now, and for the next week or so. Almost all of them are (obviously) unplayed ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Original 1979 USA Test Pressing of Island Records LP #ILPS-9542 which was sent to a music business executive as an Advance Promo.
Record and labels Near Mint. Actually it looks, and almost certainly IS, unplayed. Cover is plain diecut cover which is Near Mint, perfect. Paper insert (info sheet) has remnants of old masking tape at top and bottom, a ring mark at center (not quite a prominent as appears here, since in my photo the diecut underneath is showing through). The writing by the track titles was actually done on the original from which this was photocopies (at the factory / before it was issued- of course!)
A true one-of-a-kind piece that would be a crown jewel or any Marley / Reggae collection.
