In 1973, Bob Marley and the Wailers released their fifth album. Calling it 'Catch a Fire', it was the first on Island Records, and is considered their major label debut. Two versions actually exist, as the band had one version ready to go, but the label wanted something more "radio friendly" and polished. The "Jamaican" version was never released worldwide, until TWENTY years ago, in 2001. That version was added to the Deluxe Edition, which is a special TWO disc set.

For your bidding consideration today, we have a very cool double shot of 'Catch a Fire' collectibles! First up is the limited edition vinyl version. This came out in EXTREMELY limited quantities, which is why sellers here on Ebay are charging over a hundred dollars for the 'buy it now' option! The vinyl is "smoke" colored (see last pics for examples of smoke colored vinyl records), and they returned to the original Zippo lighter hinged jacket (very last pic). That jacket got quickly changed, and a regular jacket with different artwork was used. Those original 1973 issued hinged jacket albumd usually go for over a thousand bucks!

This remastered and reissued LP is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! In great condition, with the shrinkwrap still intact! A rare find, as these were quickly snatched up by collectors! The last pics shows what your vinyl LP will look like, but rest assured, they are stock photos, and your copy has NEVER been opened! Open the "lighter", and the record looks like smoke....how cool is that?!?!

And part two in this Marley double shot is a STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED copy of this landmark Reggae classic, on a special Deluxe Edition TWO disc set! It's the album that got released, as well as that unreleased "Jamaican" version! TWO extra unreleased tracks are also added! You don't have to open your MINT vinyl copy to jam to this classic, because you can just play your CDs! Bob Marley and the Wailers never sounded so good!
