Description
You are bidding on a rare original UK pressing of the Bob Marley and The Wailers LP "Catch a Fire"
Featuring the pink rim island label this is a genuinely hard to find first press. The Matrix numbers are ILPS9241A-3U and B-3U. It also has "Sterling" etched into the run out.
The mother and stampers are 1 A and 2 making this a very early press.
The LP has been visually and sonically play tested.
VINYL:
The Vinyl grades as an easy VG+/EX. It has some light hairlines/storage marks but nothing deep or nasty. The record plays through great without any jumps, sticks, clicks or pos. it has some very light background noise in a few places (mainly in between tracks) but this is genuinely barely noticeable.
SLEEVE:
The sleeve grades as VG as it has quite a bit of edge wear (see photos). However the hinge is intact and working fine and the front and back are in generally very good condition. There is some ring wear, etc. please have a look at the photos as they form part of the description.
the original black island inner sleeve is in VG+ to EX condition with no splits, tears or creasing
