Description
Here is an extremely rare studio acetate from C.P. MacGregor Studios in Hollywood. It contains unissued material by the singer and actor Bob Newkirk, including an alternate version of his slinky number "Rhythm or Blues," along with a Greek language rendition of "Dance of Love" and several other tracks. This unreleased version of "Rhythm or Blues" seems to have the same backing track as the one on the 1962 single (Clinton Records 1001), but with a different vocal take that becomes most distinct toward the end (including a hilarious ad-lib in the outro: "Come over here baby and love your big Greek daddy-o"). It's a 10" disc and plays at 33 rpm. It's in VG+ condition with some light scratches. Playback is bright and excellent throughout with some light background crackle.
