BOBBY BLAND - "A TOUCH OF THE BLUES" ORIGINAL UK 1967 1ST PRESSING MONO ILP 974 PINK ISLAND LABEL. SUPER RARE VINTAGE GEM AND IN LOVELY CONDITION!
COVER: FRONT LAMINATE COVER IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION FLAT AND STRONG WITH PERFECTLY LEGIBLE SPINE, SHOWING VERY LITTLE WEAR AND NO SPLITS, HOWEVER THERE ARE WHAT APPEARS TO BE REMAINS FROM A CELLO TAPE AROUND THE 3 EDGES, NOT A BIG DISTRACTION THOUGH, IT WAS DONE VERY ACCURATELY IN A PERFECT LINE, DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT'S BEEN DONE BY HAND, OTHERWISE VERY NICE COVER BUT BECAUSE OF SOME DISCOLORATION AROUND THE EDGES WOULD GRADE IT: VG
DISC: THE VINYL LOOKS UNPLAYED, CLEAN AND GLOSSY, I DON'T SEE NO SPINDLE MARKS AT ALL ON EITHER SIDE OF LABELS, THE SURFACE IS NICE AND CLEAR WITH JUST FEW TINY INSIGNIFICANT SPOTS AND VERY FEW WISPY PAPER SLEEVE REMOVAL HAIRLINES VISIBLE UNDER A STRONG LIGHT, PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY WITH CLEAR, FANTASTIC MONO AUDIO, NO JUMPS, NO SKIPS, NO POPS JUST OCCASIONAL VERY LIGHT CRACKLE (POSSIBLY FROM DUST) IN THE QUIET PARTS OTHERWISE CLEAN BEAUTIFUL MONO SOUND, SUPERB! ONE OF THE RARE BOBBY BLAND RECORDS, INCLUDES THE LP-ONLY NORTHERN SOUL DANCER "ONE HORSE TOWN". LAST TIME A SIMILAR COPY OF "A TOUCH OF THE BLUES" WAS SOLD ON EBAY FOR OVER $500. MUST HAVE VINYL FOR COLLECTORS OF ISLAND RECORDS AND SOUL MUSIC!
