We have a very limited supply of Bill Triggs' magnum opus 'THE GREAT HARRY RESER' in MINT Publisher Stock Condition! They were still wrapped in their brown paper bundles from the printers when found.
Published in 1978, this 200-page profusely-illustrated hardbound, gloss art paper book is the definitive publication devoted to the legendary banjoist, composer and bandleader and has long been out of print and is a collector’s item - have a look on Abebooks to see some ludicrous prices being quoted for second-hand copies!
The extensive discography covers in detail all records made under his leadership - Harry Reser's Syncopators, The Clicquot Club Eskimos, The Six Jumping Jacks, The Jazz Pilots, Seven Little Polar Bears etc., plus a selective discography of recordings he made as a sideman with some of the top names performers of the period - Bessie Smith, Al Jolson, Marion Harris, Lee Morse and more…
As we are based in England the postage to the USA isn’t cheap, but with the weak Pound now’s the time to bag a bargain!
