Hi! You're looking at an excellent condition vinyl 2 LP Set and 1976 FIRST PRESSING on the Blue Note Records label issued in 1976 in "The Blue Note Re-Issue Series" (the set includes the previously unissued HORACE PARLAN album "Happy Frame of Mind" and an the unissued second album by BOOKER ERVIN later issued on CD as "Tex Book Tenor" but only available on vinyl here) by tenor saxophonist BOOKER ERVIN titled "Back from the Gig"--the February 15, 1963 sessions for "Happy Frame of Mind" feature JOHNNY COLES on trumpet, BOOKER ERVIN on tenor saxophone, HORACE PARLAN on piano, GRANT GREEN on guitar, BUTCH WARREN on bass, and BILLY HIGGINS on drums, and the June 24, 1968 "Tex Book Tenor" session features WOODY SHAW on trumpet, BOOKER ERVIN on tenor saxophone, KENNY BARRON on piano, JAN ARNETT on bass, and BILLY HIGGNS on drums. The LP is a 1976 Blue Note Records issue from "The Blue Note Re-Issue Series" with the serial number BN-LA488-H2, is a 1st PRESSING of this set and Stereo recording and was made in the United States.
This 2 LP Set is in excellent overall condition and the vinyl is in VG++ overall condition and should play very well, with a few slight hairline merks, some moderate scuffs and some light paper scuffs that should not significantly affect play except possibly a few light and scattered tics and pops in a few places; the deluxe gatefold cover is also in VG++ condition and has slight discoloration on the lower edge, a very small clipped corner on the lower right corner with very slight splits on the lower opening edges and upper back opening edge, small timing notes in erasable pencil on the upper right corner of the back surface and an owner's name and price in ink on the upper edge of the inner gatefold and just very light shelfwear otherwise but no other significant flaws!

Vinyl Grading Standards (unless otherwise indicated, LPs are visually graded)

Mint (or M) – Sealed and effectively perfect with no signs of wear or ever having been played.

Near Mint -- A record with only the slightest evidence of ever having been handled.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A very clean record that has no marks aside from slight scuffs and abrasions caused by removal from a paper inner sleeve or perhaps a few marks on the label caused by a turntable spindle.

Very Good Plus (VG+) A record that has had a number of plays and may have some superficial scuffs, possibly mild to moderate spindle marks and / or possibly hairline scratches on the vinyl, which may produce some intermittent pops and possibly very light background noise.

Very Good (VG) A record that has generally been well cared for, but has seen a fair amount of play, with some scuffing. hairline scratches, spindle marks and / or light scratches.  Should play through well, with the possibility of more pops and more background noise.

Very Good Minus (VG-)  A record with significant scuffs, scratches, and spindle marks that should play through with moderate pops and surface noise, possibly of some duration.

Good (G) A record with will play through, but with significant pops, substantial background noise, and possibly intermittent skipping.

Poor (P) A record with MAJOR issues that will interfere with play, and will possibly be unplayable in part due to damage (I'll only offer an LP in this condition if it's an extreme rarity and / or for cover art display purposes).
