Description
I’m listing the complete, six-volume Born Bad compilation series, which collects together the original music that inspired the Cramps. This is vintage rock ‘n’ roll for degenerates, in the best possible way.
This auction is for Volume Five, which features even more great sources of well-known Cramps covers and concert staples. Rarities here that are themselves covers include a different version of Hanky Panky, from the girl-group Raindrops, and the raw, Fendermen 1960s resurrection of Jimmie Rodgers' Mule Skinner Blues, a very early example of garage rock. 1990 release on Born Bad Records (BB005). Gatefold jacket is NM with price sticker; not a cut-out. Vinyl is beautifully NM. 14 tracks total:
1. Kai Ray - I Want Some of That
2. The Instrumentals - Chop Suey Rock
3. The Raindrops - Hanky Panky
4. Jerry Warren & the Tremblers - Rompin'
5. Carl Perkins - Her Love Rubbed Off
6. The Readymen - Shortnin' Bread
7. The Joker - What Is A Fisterris?
8. The Fendermen - Mule Skinner Blues
9. Three Aces & A Joker - Booze Party
10. Lonnie Allen - You'll Never Change Me
11. Macy Skipper - Bop Pills
12. Mac Rebennack - Storm Warning
13. Freddy & the Hitchhikers - Sinners
14. Charlie Feathers - It's Just That Song

Overseas Buyers Please READ: Unlike many sellers, I ship via 1st class mail to save you money; I will purchase a certificate of mailing but there is no tracking with 1st class. If you prefer tracking, please advise before paying, and I’ll charge actual cost of shipping/tracking plus materials. If you stick with 1st class, you agree not to charge me back through PayPal if your order does not show up (my certificate of mailing will be evidence that I performed on my end). Sorry, but I have no control over overseas customs or postal people, some of whom are known to be problematic, so please play by the rules.
Grading: Jacket/VinylThe LPs I’m listing now are from my personal collection. I took very good care of them, including storing with plastic inner and outer sleeves. Prior to listing, I examine each LP under natural and artificial light and, when anything is in question, I play it. Gradings:
NM = Near-mint, no signs of wear or play but opened. NM- typically means spindle marks or very light scuffing are the only evidence of use.
EX = Excellent. I’ll note what kept it from NM. Never includes jacket seam-splits or ring-wear, or anything on vinyl that audibly detracts from play.
VG = Very good, still enjoyable if you’ve been looking for this for your collection. All defects will be noted. I have very few of these ratings, usually just on albums where vinyl is NM but the VG jacket itself had been stored unprotected prior to my purchase.
Returns: All items are guaranteed to be in described condition. Full purchase price and postage will be refunded if not. Buyer pays return shipping; returned items must be shipped within seven days of receipt.
